Cash for Junk Cars Hammond Indiana

How junk car pickup works around Hammond

Selling a junk car to Cash for Junk Cars Hammond Indiana takes four moves: you send the car details, we call with an offer, a truck tows the car free, and you're paid at pickup. It works the same in Whiting, East Chicago, Munster and Highland.

The four steps

  1. Send the car

Year, make, model and the title question, then your name, phone and pickup address.

  2. Hear the offer

We call back, ask what's wrong with the car and where it's parked, and make an offer.

  3. Free tow

Say yes and we book the truck. Same-day pickup is often possible. Towing costs you nothing.

  4. Paid at pickup

Sign the car over when the truck arrives and you're paid there and then, in cash, or by app (Cash App, Zelle or another digital payment).

Before you send the form

Have the year, make and model to hand, and know where the title is. If it's lost, don't stop there: Indiana accepts a BMV duplicate title ($15) or a BMV certificate of authority ($4, applied for with proof the car is yours, such as your current registration), and a car under 15 model years old legally needs one of the two. Tell us what papers you have and we'll say on the call which route fits.

Know where the car is parked, too. Street, driveway, alley or lot each need something different from the truck. If it's squeezed in somewhere, our guide to getting a junk car out of a tight spot lists what to mention.

The call

After the form, we call the number you gave. We'll ask what's wrong with the car, whether it rolls and steers, whether you have the keys, and anything about the parking spot. Then you hear an offer for the car as it stands.

There's no obligation, and the offer has no expiry date, so there's no clock running while you think.

The tow

If you accept, we agree a pickup time. Same-day pickup is often possible, but we confirm a time on the call rather than promise a window. Towing is free: nothing for the tow is taken out of the offer.

The car doesn't need to run. If the brakes or steering are the problem, leave it where it is; see cars that are unsafe to drive.

Paperwork and payment

At pickup you sign the car over: the title if you have it, or the paperwork we agreed on the call. Payment is made right then, as the car is collected.

Before the truck leaves, take out your belongings and check the glovebox and trunk for papers with your name on them.

Who needs to be there at pickup?

Someone who can sign the car over and take the payment.

When can the truck come?

Any day of the week, within our 06:00 to 21:00 hours (Central). Same-day pickup is often possible.

What if the car doesn't match what I described?

Tell us about anything you forgot before the truck is booked. Surprises at the curb slow everyone down, so the more we know on the call, the smoother pickup goes.
